We are pleased to announce that Crystal Atkinson has accepted the role of Principal at Griffin Park School.
Crystal brings more than 20 years of experience in education and a strong understanding of the Grasslands community. Her career has included classroom teaching, Student Support, school leadership, and division leadership. Most recently, she has supported curriculum implementation, professional learning, mentorship, and instructional leadership across Grasslands. Her passion and experience supports the collaborative work of building strong, inclusive learning communities where both students and staff can grow.
She brings school-based leadership experience from both Brooks Junior High School and Uplands Elementary School, where she worked closely with staff and students and supported many areas of school life. Her teaching experience spans Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, and previously taught at Griffin Park School,Tilley School and BCHS.
Crystal holds a Master of Education in Leadership and School Improvement, along with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Crystal has also completed Leadership Quality Standard training and certification and brings a strong commitment to inclusive learning environments, collaboration, and ongoing growth.
